Khatav Agrotech Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Khatav, which is in the Satara district. You can find us at Anil Bajrang Todkar’s place. We are a group of farmers from this local area who decided to join up and work together. Satara has its own way of doing things and we try to stick to that. We don't have a big fancy staff or anyone in suits. It is just Anil and some of the other farmers working together to make sure our produce gets where it needs to go. We spend most of our time out in the dirt and the wind. It’s not an easy life but it is what we have always done. We talk about seeds and rain and how to fix the equipment when it breaks. Our meetings usually happen in the village under the shade or at someone's house. We don't have glossy brochures or a marketing team to tell our story. We just have our hands and our knowledge of the land in Khatav. We are trying to make it so that the small farmers here have a bit more say in what happens to their crops after all that work. It is a long road and we are just taking it one day at a time. We don't want to sound like some big company from the city because we aren't. We are just locals.
