Agrowessence Farmers Producer Company Limited is out in the Khed area of Koregaon. We are located at the house of Jagannath Anant Mali. Satara is a beautiful place, but being a farmer here takes a lot of effort and patience. We are just a local group of producers who wanted to have a bit more control over how we sell our stuff. Jagannath’s place serves as our main office, though it is more of a home than an office. You will usually find some of us there talking about the crops or sorting out the paperwork that the government requires. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy website. It is just us and the land. We have all been farming for a long time, so we know the challenges of the seasons and the markets. We started this company to help each other out, simple as that. There are no corporate speeches or big promises here. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks of growing food and getting it where it needs to go. Sometimes we have to deal with pests or a lack of rain, and being part of this group makes those problems a little easier to handle. We like the directness of it. We are just people from Khed doing our best to make the most of what we have. It is not always easy, but we wouldn't want to do anything else.
