Awadhut Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in the Khatav taluka, there’s a small village called Dalmodi. That’s where Awadhut Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located. We use Dilip Mahadev Chaudhari’s house, which is House No. 246, as our main spot. It’s near the Post-Bombale area. Farming in this part of the country isn't easy. The soil can be stubborn and the water is always a concern. We spend most of our time figuring out how to get the best out of our small plots of land. We are just a group of local guys who grew up here. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We don't even have a proper office sign most of the time. We just meet at Dilip’s house and talk about what needs to be done for the week. There’s a lot of sweat involved in what we do. We are out there in the sun for hours, making sure the crops are okay. It’s a simple operation. We help each other out with the harvest and share what we know about the different pests or fertilizers. Sometimes the crop fails and it’s a bad year, but we just wait for the next season and try again. That’s just the way it works here in Dalmodi. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to look after our families and make sure the farm stays in good shape.
