Over in Village Malakpur, near Lalru, is where we run Terracone Cultivation And Productions. It’s part of the Derabassi tehsil. We focus a lot on the growing side of things. It’s a lot of work being out in the fields and managing the production line. We aren't some big corporate entity from the city. We’re just local folks who know how to grow things. Our facility in Malakpur is pretty basic but it gets the job done. We have some sheds for the equipment and a small area for the administrative stuff. Most of our time is spent out where the crops are. You can usually find us covered in a bit of dirt by the end of the day. It’s how we know we’ve done something useful. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just plant, grow, and produce. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or a machine breaks down, and we just have to deal with it. We help each other out around here. If a neighbor needs a hand, we step in. That’s the village way. Terracone is just our name on the papers, but to us, it’s just our daily life. We’ve been in this part of Punjab for a long time. We know the land and the rhythms of the seasons. It’s practical, honest work, and that’s plenty for us. There is always a job to be done.
