Kissan Junction Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of House Number 70 in Gharuan. We are right here in Tehsil Kharar. It’s a residential area, so our "office" is really just a part of the house we use for business. It makes things easy because we are always around if someone needs something. We focus on helping the farmers around here get their products out there. It’s a lot of coordination. We spend time on the phone and sitting on the porch talking to growers. Sometimes we have stacks of crates piled up waiting for a truck. It’s not a polished operation with uniforms or anything. We wear our everyday clothes and get our hands dirty when needed. The house is usually busy with people coming and going. We keep a ledger of who brought what and when it needs to be moved. It’s a bit of a juggle, but we’ve gotten the hang of it over time. The town of Gharuan is a good place to be, everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We just try to make sure the farmers get a fair shake. It’s practical, everyday work. We don't have big meetings, just quick chats over tea. It’s just how we live and work in this part of the country. We have been doing this for quite a while and don't see that changing soon.
