Qamrun-Nas & Sons

We are located at Plot No. 87/48 in Jallapur, over in the Nai Basti area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but once you get here, you’ll see the sign for Qamrun-Nas & Sons. The workspace is where most of the action happens. It’s loud and there’s always a lot of movement. We have our family working here, along with some others from the neighborhood. It’s been this way for a long time. The floor is usually covered in scraps and thread, and we sweep it up at the end of every day. We don't have any air conditioning, just some big pedestal fans that move the air around when it gets humid. It’s a practical setup. We handle a lot of orders, so there are piles of finished work waiting in the corner to be shipped out. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow streets of Nai Basti, so we have to go out and help them. It’s just part of the daily grind. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or decorations for the walls. We’d rather just focus on what’s on the looms. People know us by our name and the fact that we’ve been in Jallapur forever. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our life and we’re used to the long hours and the dusty air.
