A. Aziz Khan & Sons is a family-run place on the Main Road in Maryadpatti. Our address is technically Post Box-23, but everyone around here knows the physical shop. We’ve been part of this street for many years. It’s a local business through and through. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with whatever we’re working on that week. We don’t mind the mess much because it means we’re busy. Maryadpatti is the kind of place where you know your neighbors and people stop to chat. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the front or handling the paperwork in the back office. It’s not a high-tech operation, just some old desks and plenty of ledgers. We like the pace of life here. Some days the Main Road is packed with people and it gets quite loud. Other days it’s just the usual dust and heat. We keep things going regardless. It’s a lot of work keeping a family business alive, but we don’t know any other way to do it. My father and brothers are usually around, so there’s always someone to talk to. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day and doing what we do. If you’re ever walking down the Main Road, you’ll probably see us. We usually keep a few extra chairs around for friends who drop by to share some news.
