Saresha Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in the village of Sonwarchok, right near the Mahthi post office. We are in the Bibhutipur area of Samastipur. If you live around here, you know the land is everything. We started this because the farmers in our community needed a way to get organized. It isn't a high-rise office building. It’s just a place where we meet to talk about the crops. Most days are spent worrying about the water supply or the cost of seeds. We try to help each other get better prices at the market. Samastipur-848211 is where we call home. The work is physically hard and the sun can be brutal in the summer months. But we’ve lived here all our lives, so we’re used to it. We don't have a lot of fancy technology. We use what we have and try to make it work. Sometimes we fail, and sometimes we have a good year. It’s mostly about sticking together through the bad seasons. People stop by to chat or drop off things. It’s a very local thing. We don't really think about the outside world much.
