Bhumiratan Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right here in Kothia village. We are located in the Kothia Tola, within the Tajpur block of Samastipur district. This area has always been about farming, so it made sense for us to set up a producer company to help everyone stay organized. We aren’t some big city outfit; we are just local folks who know the land and the people. Most of our days are spent talking to farmers in the Kothia panchayat about their needs and how we can help move their goods. Our office is a simple place where we keep our files and meet up after a long day in the fields. It’s often dusty and there’s always a bit of a mess from the latest project, but that’s just how we live. We don’t go in for fancy talk or complicated business plans. We just look at what needs to be done and try to get it finished. The weather in Samastipur can be a challenge, but we’ve all been through enough seasons to know how to handle it. We are just trying to make sure the farming community here in Kothia has a solid foundation to work from. It’s hard work and the pay isn’t always great, but being part of the village and helping our friends is what keeps us going.
