Malpuryuva Farmers Producer Company Limited

Down here in Malpur village, things move at their own speed. We are based right here in the Dalsingsarai block of Samastipur district. Our group, the Malpuryuva Farmers Producer Company Limited, started because the younger people and the farmers in this area needed a way to organize. It’s not a corporate setup with suits and ties. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields than behind a computer screen. We handle everything from the Malpur post office and police station area. Dalsingsarai is a busy enough place, and being in Samastipur means we have a lot of land to think about. We spend our time trying to figure out how to get the most out of the soil and how to help each other out when things get tough. Sometimes the weather in Samastipur is a bit much, but we are used to it by now. We don’t have any polished slogans or big marketing plans. We just talk to the farmers, see what they have harvested, and try to find the best way to move it along. It’s a lot of practical stuff, like figuring out transport or where to store bags of grain so they stay dry. We are just local folks trying to keep the farming tradition going while looking forward a little bit. It is hard work, but it is what we know and what we do here in Malpur every single day.
