Agrosearch is basically just a few of us working near Pusa Farm Road in Samastipur. Our setup is at Jitendra Kumar’s place in Ward Number 1, Morsand Mat. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly fields and narrow streets that get busy during the day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the dirt. Manufacturing and marketing sounds like a big title for what we do, but mostly we are just trying to get farming supplies to the right people. Samastipur is a busy place for agriculture. The Pusa side has a lot of history with farming research, so we ended up here. It’s not always easy. The rain makes the roads to Morsand quite muddy in July, which slows down the trucks. We have a small storage space where we keep the products. Jitendra usually handles the paperwork while the rest of us deal with the local shops and farmers. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or flashy ads. We just tell people what we have and see if they need it for their crops. Sometimes the neighbors stop by for a cup of tea and a chat while we are loading up. It is a local business and we like it that way. We aren't looking to become some giant company. Just keeping the wheels turning and making sure the farmers in our part of Bihar get what they need without too much trouble. It's a lot of manual work and long days.
