Sri Durga Events & Organiser

Sri Durga Events & Organiser is located right on Bus Stand Road in Salem. If you’ve ever been to the main bus stand, you’ve probably walked past our place without even realizing it. We are at No 9, which is quite close to where all the private and government buses pull in. It is a noisy part of town, always smelling like diesel and tea from the stalls nearby. My family and I have been doing this event stuff for a good number of years now. We have some old desks, a few cupboards full of registers, and a lot of phone numbers written on the walls near the landline. We spend most of our time coordinating with tent guys, flower sellers, and cooks. It is not glamorous work like you see on the television. Most of it is just making sure the chairs arrive on time and that the generator doesn't fail in the middle of a function. We don't have a big website or a team of planners in suits. It’s usually just us sitting in the office, drinking coffee, and figuring out the logistics for the next wedding or temple festival. The door is usually open to let some air in, even if the dust from the road comes in with it. We just prefer doing things the old way, face to face, right here in the heart of Salem where everyone can find us.
