Gold Staar Orchestra

Gold Staar Orchestra is based right here in Salem. We’ve been around the 636001 area for quite some time now. Our day usually starts with checking the instruments and making sure all the speakers are working. It’s not just about playing music; there is a lot of heavy lifting involved. We have to pack the drums, the keyboards, and all the cables into the vehicle. Salem is a place where people really enjoy their music, so we stay pretty busy with local functions. We aren't some big city production company. We are just a bunch of people who like to perform and have been doing it for years. Sometimes we have to travel a bit outside the main city, and those are long nights. We usually get back home when everyone else is starting their day. Our rehearsals happen in a small space that gets quite loud. The neighbors are mostly used to it by now. It’s a simple life, focused on the next gig. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing polished scripts for us. We just take the bookings and show up. There’s always something to fix, like a mic stand that won’t stay up or a loose wire in an amp. We just deal with it as it comes. It feels good when the crowd is happy, but mostly it’s just hard work and a lot of traveling around Salem.
