Magic Fair

You can find us over at No 12, K R Chetty Street in the Alagapuram neighborhood. Magic Fair is a small business that we’ve been running for some time now. We handle all sorts of local events and small fairs around here. The office isn't much to look at, mostly just a place where we keep our records and some of the smaller equipment we use daily. Alagapuram is a busy place, so there is always something going on outside our door. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people put together community events. It’s a lot of work that people don’t usually see, like checking every single light bulb or making sure the tents don’t have any holes. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, and we have to scramble to keep everything dry. We aren't a big team, just a few of us who have lived here for years. We don't go in for big advertisements or fancy slogans. Most of our work comes from people in the area who know us. Loading the trucks on K R Chetty Street can be a bit of a nightmare because of the traffic, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on our feet and our clothes usually end up dusty by the end of the day. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we enjoy being part of the local community life here in this neighborhood.
