Our office, By Media, is at No 82/2, Chairman Rathnaswamy Street in Shevapet, Salem. This part of Salem is very traditional and busy with trade. We are near Meenakshmi Amman Street, which is always a hub of activity. Our workspace is quite basic. We have a couple of computers, a printer that sometimes jams, and a lot of files. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old wood and paper. It is not a place for showing off. We are usually dressed casually and busy with the day's tasks. Shevapet is a place where people work hard, and we try to do the same. The street can get very dusty, so we are always cleaning the screens. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small one near the entrance. Most of our visitors are people we have known for years. We usually share a pot of coffee in the morning before we start looking at the media schedules. There is a lot of shouting and noise from the merchants nearby, but we find it quite energizing. It is a small team here, so we all do a bit of everything, from answering phones to moving equipment. We chose this spot in Shevapet because it is the heart of the business district in Salem. It is not fancy, but it is where we belong and where we get our work done every day.
