Salem Jabaraj Band Party has its home at No.57-B on Deevattipatty Down Street. This is right on the Dharmapuri Main Road in Omalur, Salem. Our pin code is 636455. It is a very easy spot to find because we are right near the Deevattipatty Bus Stop. I see people waiting for the bus all day long from my window. Omalur is a bit of a distance from the main Salem city center, but it’s a busy junction in its own right. The main road always has trucks and buses heading towards Dharmapuri. Our place is simple, just a ground-floor spot where we keep the uniforms and the big drums. It gets dusty because of the traffic on the main road, so I’m always wiping down the instruments. I’ve been doing this for years and the routine is always the same. We gather here, check the gear, and then head out to whatever event we are playing at. The Deevattipatty area is quite lively. There are small eateries nearby where we usually grab a bite. The building we are in is old, but it stays cool enough in the summer. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or plush chairs. We just have some wooden benches and a lot of shelving for the band equipment. It’s a practical space for a group like ours. We just keep things moving and make sure the instruments are ready for the next call.
