Sailam Collective Farm Producer Company Limited is basically just a group of local farmers who decided to work together. Salem-636011 is where we handle all our business. The office is right in the heart of the village area, so it’s easy for the members to walk over. There is a lot of green around us, and the air is different than what you get in the city. We don't spend much time worrying about looking professional or having a polished image. Most days, we are just busy with the practical side of farming and making sure everyone in the collective is getting what they need. Eachankattur is a small place, and everyone knows each other. When you come to the office, you’ll likely see a few of us sitting around discussing the market prices or the weather. It’s a very local thing. We started this because we wanted to have a bit more control over our own work. The building is simple, just walls and a roof to keep the sun off while we do the books. We don't have any fancy speeches to give. We just exist here in Salem and try to make the farm work as best as we can every single day.
