Sri Hari Goat Farm

We are out here on Ayya Gounder Street in Valapady. It's a quiet spot in the Salem district where we spend most of our time looking after the animals. My family has been around this area for a while, and running Sri Hari Goat Farm just felt like the right thing to do with the land we have. It isn't a fancy setup with big offices or anything like that. Just some sheds, good feed, and a lot of daily chores. Every morning starts early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because goats don't really wait for anyone when they are hungry. We mostly focus on raising healthy goats. People from around the taluk come by when they need livestock for their own farms or for other needs. We try to keep things simple and honest. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather gets too hot or if one of the animals gets sick, but that's just how farm life goes. We handle the feeding, cleaning, and making sure everyone is growing like they should. It's dusty work and your clothes never stay clean for long. If you are ever driving through the Valapady T. K. area and turn down Ayya Gounder Street, you will probably see us out there working. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the goats and how to manage the daily routine. There isn't much more to it than that. We just do the work and try to stay busy.
