Jai Shree Balaji Agro Industry

Our place is out on Plot No.86 along the Salem Road in Avalnaiken Patti. Jai Shree Balaji Agro Industry is basically where we handle a lot of the local farm produce. It’s a dusty spot most days, especially when the big trucks are moving in and out of the yard. We’ve got the machines running quite a bit. It’s loud, but that’s just part of the job. My family and a few local workers have been running things here for a good while now. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just the open shed and the dirt yard. If you're driving down the road, you really can't miss the piles of sacks and the tractor tracks. We work with whatever crops come in from the nearby fields. Sometimes the weather makes things hard for everyone, but we manage to stay open. There is always something to fix or a heavy bag to move. It’s physical work. We aren't trying to be the biggest industry around, just keeping the business steady. People around here know us by name. We get started very early in the morning when it's still a bit cool. By the afternoon, it gets pretty hot out there on the road. We usually just sit under the shade of the big tree for a bit during lunch. It's a simple operation. We take the grains and get them ready. That’s what we do every day at the plot.
