Mma Fabrics

If you go to No 32/39 on the first floor in Azad Nagar, Suramangalam, you will find Mma Fabrics. We are right opposite Ebrahim & Co here in Salem. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and different types of materials that we deal with every day. It’s a busy part of Salem, and being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is usually full of people and vehicles. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins and bright lights; it’s mostly just stacks of fabrics and a few desks for the paperwork. We spend our time checking the quality of the weaves and making sure the colors are what they should be. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when a new shipment comes in, but we manage to find space for everything. The building itself is older, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We’ve been here in Suramangalam for quite some time now, and we know most of the other shop owners nearby. We don't really do much in terms of marketing or big sales pitches. People who need fabric usually just find their way to us because we have been around for a while. It’s a straightforward business, and we just try to keep things organized as best as we can. Dealing with textiles is a lot of work, but we like being part of the local trade here.
