Foamalite Bricks Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 32-4 in Puliyampatti Village, which is part of Omalur. Even though the name sounds a bit technical, we are just a local brickyard at heart. We work with a different kind of material than the old red clay bricks, making things a bit lighter and easier to handle for the masons. The factory is right here in the village, surrounded by fields and a few other small businesses. Our daily routine involves mixing the materials and getting the molds ready. It’s a lot of physical work, even with some machines to help us out. The air in Puliyampatti is usually filled with the sound of our equipment running. We don't spend much time in the office; most of us are out on the floor checking the blocks as they dry. It can get pretty busy when a big order comes in, and the whole yard gets filled with pallets. We have had our share of equipment breakdowns and rainy days that slowed us down, but we always manage to get back on track. People from Omalur and the surrounding areas come by to check out the stock and see how the lightweight bricks look. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the production moving and make sure the blocks we send out are decent enough for people to build their walls with.
