We started this to help the farmers around here get their stuff to market. It’s a lot of lifting and counting bags. The office is small and usually covered in a bit of dust from the grain, but that’s the reality of working in a Mandi. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy furniture. We’d rather spend the time talking to the guys bringing in their wheat or mustard. It’s a local operation through and through. Everyone knows everyone else's business here. We have our tea together and talk about the prices and the weather. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we’re too busy on the floor with the actual crops. But we get it done eventually. It’s honest work and we’ve been at it for a while now. We don't promise anything fancy, just a place for farmers to come and deal with their produce without too many hurdles.
