The Year

Our office is located at B/34 on Baldeo Sahay Lane, which is just off Church Road in Ranchi. We are tucked away in a spot cared for by Mr. Arun Kumar Shrivastava. It’s a very local feel here. The lane can be a bit narrow, so getting a car in isn't always the easiest thing. Most of us just walk or take a bike. The building itself is an older one, with a lot of character and maybe a few squeaky floorboards. We call ourselves The Year, and we spend our time working on various projects that come our way. It's not a big corporate headquarters. It feels more like a home that turned into an office over time. We have a lot of books and papers stacked on every available surface. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. The Church Road area is always humming with people and traffic, but once you get into Baldeo Sahay Lane, things quiet down a little. We don't have a formal reception or anything like that. You just come to B/34 and look for us. We do our work, drink some tea, and try to stay on top of the schedule. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We’ve been in this part of Ranchi for a long time and the neighbors all know Mr. Shrivastava. It’s just a simple place for simple work. We try to keep things quiet and productive throughout the week.
