Shivam Fly Ash Bricks

Our place is situated right on the Main Road in Kunkuri. If you are familiar with the Jashpur district, you probably know where Jaystam Chowk is. We are just a short distance from that intersection, so it is pretty easy to find us if you are looking. It stays busy out on the road with all the people moving back and forth. This part of the country gets really dusty when the dry season hits, but we are used to that by now. We spend our days handling fly ash bricks. It is a lot of manual labor, mostly loading and unloading the trailers that come in. My cousins and a few others from the village help out with the heavy lifting. We don’t have a fancy corporate office with air conditioning. There is just a small room where we keep our books and take a seat when the sun is too much. Most of the time, you will find us outside near the press. People around the neighborhood know us by name, which is nice. Sometimes the power goes out in Kunkuri and we have to stop work for a bit. We just sit and talk until the lights come back on. We make enough bricks to keep the local construction guys busy. We aren't trying to be some massive company. We just do the job and head home. The bricks need time to dry in the yard, so we are always watching the clouds.
