Narayani Bricks

Our place, Narayani Bricks, is located at Plot No. 13-P in the Kokar Industrial Area, which is near Shanti Nagar. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so it is never really quiet around here. There is always the sound of engines and people working. We have a decent amount of space on Plot 13-P for our brick-making operations. We specialize in clay bricks, which is a very old-fashioned and labor-intensive process. We have to get the right soil, mix it, mold it, and then bake them in the kiln. It takes a lot of time and a lot of heat. Shanti Nagar is just a stone's throw away, so it is a convenient location for people living in that part of town. We are just a local operation with a small group of guys who do all the heavy lifting. We don't have any corporate polish or big offices. It’s just a yard full of bricks and a lot of hard work. We have to watch the sky constantly because rain can ruin a whole batch of bricks before they are fired. It is a bit of a gamble sometimes, but that is the nature of the brick business. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the stacks are full when the customers come calling. It is a simple life and we like it that way. We've been here for years and we plan to stay.
