Ak Bricks

Ak Bricks is over in Tatisilway village, in the Angara Taluka. We are not too far from Sriperumbudur, but it feels a lot more rural where we are actually sitting. The land here is wide and open, which gives us plenty of room to spread out the bricks while they are setting. It is a quiet spot, mostly just the sound of the birds and the occasional tractor engine. We have a small team of workers who live nearby and walk to the yard every morning. Making bricks is all about the rhythm of the work. You dig, you mix, you mold, and you wait. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. If people want bricks, they usually just drive out here or hear about us from a neighbor who built a wall recently. The sun can be really punishing in the middle of the day, so we take a long break for lunch under the shade of the big trees near the edge of the property. Our equipment is a bit old and sometimes it squeaks or needs a bit of oil, but it gets the job done. We are just local people providing something for the local builders. It is a slow pace of life, but the stacks keep growing. We spend a lot of time just watching the weather and hoping for clear skies so we can keep the production moving along.
