Jot Bricks Pvt

We are located right in Village Umedanda, not far from the Allahabad Bank in the Burmu block. It's a quiet area mostly, except for when the machinery is running. Working out here in Ranchi district means we see a lot of local faces coming through for their building projects. We started Jot Bricks Pvt because there was a need for good materials around here. It isn't a very large operation, but we keep busy enough. The yard is usually full of red bricks waiting to be picked up. We have to watch the monsoon season closely because it slows everything down, but during the dry months, we are working from sunrise. We use the local soil mostly. It's got a good feel to it for making solid bricks. Sometimes the trucks have a bit of trouble with the narrow roads near the post office or the bank, but they usually get through okay. We don't spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff, we're usually out by the kilns or checking the stacks. It’s hard work, and your hands stay dirty most of the day. People in Umedanda know they can just walk over and talk to us if they need something. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth around the village is enough for us. We just want to keep the fires going and the bricks coming out right for whoever needs them next. It’s been a long journey from when we first set up near Mandar, but we’re still here doing the same thing every day.
