Pgsb Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us who work the land in and around Barhuran. You can find us at Roshan Minjat’s place. It’s where we keep the books and meet up when there’s something important to discuss. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy building. It is just a small setup to help us organize ourselves. In Barhuran, everybody knows everyone, so it made sense to start this company. We deal with the usual things farmers face, like the cost of fertilizers or finding a fair price for the grain. It’s not something we do for show. It’s about survival and trying to get a little bit ahead. The weather is always a gamble, and having the group makes it feel a bit less lonely when the harvest is thin. We don’t use any marketing tricks or try to sound like we are bigger than we are. We are just local farmers. Most days we are out in the dirt, not sitting behind a desk. Roshan’s place is easy to find if you are in the village. We talk about the rain, the pests, and the market. It is all very practical and down to earth. We aren't looking to change the world, just to make sure our work pays off enough to keep the lights on and the kids fed. That is really the whole story of who we are.
