Pahal Jagrity Farmer Producer Company Limited is located on the ground floor of Nathu Swarankar’s building. We are in Pobi village, which is part of the Jamua block in the Giridih district. Being on the ground floor is handy because we have a lot of heavy stuff coming through, and it’s easier than carrying it up stairs. The building is pretty solid and keeps the heat out fairly well during the summer. Nathu is well known around here, so finding us isn’t too hard if you ask the locals. We do all our meetings and planning right there in that main room. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when too many people show up at once, but we make it work. Giridih is a big area, but Pobi is a bit more tucked away. We spend our days looking at the schedules and seeing which farmers need what. There is always something to fix or a paper that needs signing. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't put on any airs about being a big company. We are just a bunch of folks from Jamua trying to organize our farming better. It’s a lot of work, but it’s better than being on your own. It might not be the fanciest office in the world, but it is ours.
