We are the Jhunjhunu branch of the North Eastern Carrying Corporation. You can find us here in Rajasthan, 333502. The office is pretty basic, just some desks and piles of logbooks. It gets quite hot and dusty out here, especially in the summer months. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers who are out on the road. They bring in all sorts of cargo, from small boxes to big heavy crates. When a truck pulls into the yard, it’s always a bit of a scramble to get the paperwork sorted. Sometimes the trucks are late because of rain or bad roads, and we just have to wait. It is a lot of logistics work, but we don't call it that. We just call it moving stuff. We’ve been in this location for a good while. There is a small stall nearby where we get our tea. The drivers like to rest there for a bit before heading out again. We don't have any fancy brochures or a big marketing plan. People just know us because we’ve been around. It’s a loud place when the engines are idling, but we’re used to it. We just try to keep things organized so the goods get where they need to go without too much trouble. It is a simple life in the transport business.
