Nilay Seeds Private Limited

You can find us over at Kuru Bazar, right by Sitaram Sahu’s place in Taarkuru. We deal with seeds, mostly helping folks get what they need for the planting season. Nilay Seeds isn't some massive corporation with a fancy website or anything like that. We are just a few people working out of a small shop in the middle of the market. It gets real busy on market days with people coming in and out, asking about what grows fast or what can handle the heat. We spend a lot of time cleaning the seeds and making sure they aren't damp. Sitaram knows almost everyone in the village so there’s always someone stopping by for a chat. We have bags piled up everywhere and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit. It’s a bit disorganized if I'm being honest, but we know where everything is. We don't use any high-tech machines, just our hands and some old scales to weigh things out. Some years are good and some are bad depending on how the weather treats the farmers. If the farmers aren't doing well, we aren't doing well either. We just try to provide decent seeds so people can have a good crop. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning until night. We don't have any big plans, just keeping the shop running.
