Night Auditor

We are over in Shyamili Colony, specifically at N-31. Being in Doranda, Ranchi-2, means we see a lot of the same people every day. The job is mostly about the night shift, hence the name. It gets very quiet in the colony once the sun goes down. Most people are asleep while we’re finishing up the paperwork and checking the numbers. It’s a bit of a strange schedule, but you get used to it after a few months. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space where we keep the ledgers. Sometimes the tea stall down the road stays open late, which helps. Ranchi-2 is a decent area to work in, though the roads can be a bit tricky after it rains. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the audits are done right before the morning staff comes in. You might see the lights on at N-31 when everyone else’s are off. It’s steady work. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now. Every now and then, someone knocks on the door looking for directions. We help them out and get back to the columns of figures. It’s not exciting, but it’s what we do here in Shyamili. Just a regular day, or night rather, for us. This is how the routine goes.
