Our group, the Khairwal Udnaw Kisaan Utpadak Producer Company Limited, is based right in Agaiya village. If you go towards Kairabani, that is where most of our members spend their time in the fields. We started this because we saw how hard it was for one person to get a good deal on anything. Whether it’s buying supplies or selling the crop after months of work, being alone is tough. So we gathered the farmers from around here. We don't have a corporate office or a big sign. We just use a small space in the village to keep things moving. The village of Agaiya is a quiet place, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We know the rhythms of the seasons and which fields get too wet during the monsoon. We don't spend money on advertising because everyone around here already knows who we are. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. Some people think a company has to be something big and scary, but we are just the same people you see at the market every week. We try to be honest about what we can do. Some years are better than others, and we just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just the most helpful for the people in Kairabani and Agaiya. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset.
