Indian Grameen Services

You can find us at House No 683 in J.P. Nagar. It's on 26th Main, right near the 17th Cross in the 6th Phase. Bangalore is getting bigger every day, and this area has changed so much since we first moved into the Mankanest building. Indian Grameen Services is what we call ourselves. We aren't a big flashy company with a glass building. It’s just a house that we turned into an office space. There are trees outside and sometimes the neighbors' dogs bark a lot. We spend most of our time working on things for rural areas, even though we’re based here in the city. The desks are a bit old and the chairs squeak sometimes. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just lets you in. We have a lot of maps on the walls and files everywhere. It’s a busy place but not in a stressful way. Most of us have been working together for a long time. We know each other's families and what everyone likes for lunch. We get a lot of visitors from out of town who are trying to find the 17th cross. The 6th Phase is a good spot, plenty of places to grab a quick coffee nearby. It feels more like a home than a workplace, which is how we like it. We keep the gate open during the day so anyone can stop by.
