We mostly wear our regular clothes and sit around talking about how the latest crop is doing. Working with farmers means you have to be ready for anything, especially when the rains are late or too heavy. We try to help with the practical side of things, like getting the right supplies or finding a truck when one is needed. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting on porches discussing the next season. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that; we just want to make sure the folks in Dewgain can keep farming without too many headaches. It’s about helping each other out in the village. We’ve all lived here a long time, so we care about what happens to our neighbors and their fields. It’s just how we do things here, keeping it simple and direct.
