Rakesh Ranjan Sinha is usually the one you’ll see handling things for Air Deccan over at Birsa Munda Airport. It’s a small operation compared to the big giants, but we stay busy enough in Ranchi. Working in aviation security and safety means a lot of checking and double-checking lists. The office is right there in the airport, so we hear the planes taking off all day long. Jharkhand weather can be a bit unpredictable, which makes the safety side of things even more important. We aren’t corporate types with suits and big offices. Most of the time, we are just in our gear, walking the tarmac or sitting behind a desk in the 834002 area. It’s a local feel here. We know the ground staff and the guys who handle the bags. Sometimes things get delayed and passengers get a bit frustrated, but we just try to keep things calm and safe. Air Deccan has its own way of doing things, and being part of the security assistant team means being ready for whatever comes up. We’ve been at this for a while now, and Birsa Munda Airport feels like a second home. You won't find us making big promises. We just focus on the safety protocols and making sure the planes are ready to go. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the Ranchi travel scene.
