Agrivita Wellness Farmer Federation

Agrivita Wellness Farmer Federation operates out of Flat 3D in the City Enclave, over in the B Compound area of Ranchi. It’s a decent building, though the stairs can be a bit much if the elevator is being worked on. Being in Ranchi means we are right in the middle of everything, which helps because farmers from different districts come through here quite often. The office is usually filled with the sound of city traffic coming from outside. Inside, we have maps on the walls and stacks of documents about different farming groups. It’s not a very large space, so we have to stay organized, or things get messy fast. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or sitting around the table discussing how to coordinate the federation’s activities. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. Sometimes we have tea breaks and talk about the latest news in Jharkhand or how the rains are affecting the crops this year. Most people here have been involved in agriculture for a long time, so we aren't just reading from books. We’ve seen the struggles firsthand. We don't have a marketing department or fancy logos on every wall. We just have our desks, our laptops, and a lot of work to get through before the weekend. The 834001 area is a good spot for us because it’s central. We just focus on keeping the federation moving one day at a time.
