Virender Kota Stone Industries

Our yard is in Ward No-2, on the Old Richchya Road in Khairabad. It is a bit of a trek for some, but we have been here for a long time. Virender started this place and we just kept it going. We mostly deal with Kota stone because that is what people around here want. It is a sturdy material and we have stacks of it everywhere. The yard is quite open, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it is hot, the stone gets warm to the touch. When it rains, everything gets muddy. We spend our days cutting the stone to the sizes people ask for. We have a few old machines that have been with us for years. They still work fine. We don't have a fancy showroom. You just come to the yard and see the stone in its raw form. It’s practical work. We talk to contractors and builders who need a few truckloads at a time. Sometimes a homeowner comes by looking for just a few pieces for a small repair. We treat everyone the same. We load the trucks by hand mostly, which is tiring but it ensures we don’t break the edges. The road outside is quiet compared to the city, which we like. It is just a straightforward stone business. We don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. We just focus on the cutting and the lifting.
