You can find us at Plot No.149 in Bazaar No. 7. We are quite close to the railway in Ramganjmndi. You can actually hear the trains passing by while we are working. Kota is known for its stone, and that is exactly what we handle here. Our yard is filled with the typical greenish and greyish slabs that everyone around here uses for their porches and walkways. It is a busy part of the district. We spend most of our mornings unloading the raw material that comes in. Then we spend the rest of the day sorting it out. It is not a glamorous job. There is a lot of water used for the cutting and polishing, so the floor is often wet. We have a few machines that run most of the day. The sound becomes part of the background after a while. People from the town come by looking for specific sizes. We try to keep a decent stock so they don't have to wait. It gets hot in the summer, and working under the tin roof is tough, but we keep at it. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. Most of the regulars know us by name. We don’t do much advertising; people just see the stacks of stone when they go toward the railway station. We just provide what we have and try to be fair about it.
