Girish Stone

Ramganj Mandi in the Kota district is famous for its stone, and we are right in the thick of it at Bazar No. 7. Girish Stone is a local spot where we have been for quite some time. The bazar is always full of people and the sound of trade. We handle a lot of the local limestone that this area is known for. It is a bit different working in the bazar compared to an industrial plot. It feels more connected to the town. We see the same shopkeepers every morning when we open up. The stones we have are stacked in the back and near the front. They can be quite dusty, especially when the wind blows through the market. I spend my day talking to customers who come in looking for flooring or wall stone. Kota gets very hot, so we usually have some cold water ready for anyone who stops by. We are not a huge corporation, just a local business in Bazar No. 7. We know the history of the stone here because it is part of the land we live on. At Girish Stone, we do not use big words or fancy ads. We just show you what we have on the floor. It is a practical job that keeps us busy throughout the year. When the sun starts to set over the Mandi, we sweep up the shop and head home. It is a good day of work.
