Girish Stones

We are located at Gupta Bazar, No. 7, right near the High School in Kota. It is a lively area, especially when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. The shop is part of the Girish Stones setup that has been around for a bit. My family has lived in Kota for generations, so we know a lot of people who come in. We mostly deal with local stone that comes from the quarries around here. Everyone knows Kota stone is famous, so we keep plenty of that in stock. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with samples and offcuts. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us and a couple of helpers to move the heavy pieces. We spend our days talking to neighbors and builders. Sometimes we drink tea with customers while they decide what they need for their floors. It is a slow pace compared to the big cities, but we like it that way. You get to know your customers' families and what they are building. Sometimes the rain makes the bazar muddy, which makes moving stone a real pain, but we get it done. We do not make big promises. We just show what is available in the yard and try to be fair. It is a basic business run by real people who grew up right here. We just take things one day at a time.
