This is Shivoam Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in Kebbedoddi Village, which is part of the Kaggalahalli area in Kanakapura. It’s a quiet spot in Ramanagar district. We deal with organic farming mostly. A few of us got together to form this company so we could help each other out with our crops. It’s hard work, especially doing everything the organic way. We don't use the heavy chemicals, so we spend a lot more time in the fields. Our office in the village isn't much to look at, just a place for us to meet and talk about the harvest. We like being out here in the 562112 area because it's away from the big city noise. The air is better too. We have a lot of long days, especially when it’s time to plant or harvest. We don't have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just want to grow good food and make sure we can support our families. Karnataka is a good place for this kind of work. Sometimes we sit around after the work is done and just talk about the next season. It feels good to be part of a community like this. Everyone helps everyone else out when they can. That’s just how it goes here in Kebbedoddi. We’re just regular people trying to do something meaningful with our hands and the land we have.
