Our office is on the second floor of Ashoka Chambers, which is located at 209 Rasala Marg in the Mithakhali area. This is a very active part of Ahmedabad, and the building is always full of people going to different offices. We are traders, so our daily life revolves around checking prices, talking to suppliers, and making sure our customers are getting their shipments. The office is small and filled with ledgers and stacks of invoices. We still keep a lot of physical records because it’s just the way we’ve always done it. There isn't much room for anything that isn't essential to the business. We have a few old computers that we use for the main accounts, but a lot of the work is still done through phone calls and face-to-face meetings. The noise from the street below can be quite loud, especially during the peak hours, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We usually start the day by going through the pending orders and seeing what needs to be picked up or delivered. It’s a simple operation without any bells and whistles. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that; we just rely on the relationships we have built with people in the trade. It’s a practical, honest way to spend the day, even if the office feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in.
