We've been at the Rajlaxmi Complex on Gondal Road for quite some time now. Most people know the building, it's right there at 16, Vijay Plot. It gets pretty loud during the day with all the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a few years of being in the thick of it. We spend most of our hours inside the shop at 203, just getting on with the engineering work that comes in. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just some old desks, a few cabinets full of papers, and the tools we need to get through the day. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back. It’s a busy part of Rajkot, and there’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or just to chat for a minute. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who know how the machines run. The floors are usually a bit dusty from the work, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high because the heat in the complex can get a bit much by noon. It's just a regular place where we do what we know. Most of our neighbors in the complex are doing similar stuff, so we all know each other's faces by now. We usually share a pot of tea around eleven and talk about the news before getting back to the lathes.
