Overseas Engineers

Our workshop is located at Plot No. G-1620 in the Lodhika Gidc Industrial Estate. It’s out in Metoda, near Rajkot. We’ve been here for a good while now, working as Overseas Engineers. Despite the name, we are a very local operation. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and the sound of machines is pretty much constant from morning until evening. We don't have a fancy front office with leather chairs. We have desks covered in technical manuals and old mugs. It’s a practical place for people who like to build and fix things. We handle various engineering tasks, and sometimes things get pretty complicated. We don't always get it right on the first try, but we stick with it until the part is finished and the person who needs it can actually use it. The Gujarat heat can make the workshop a bit intense in the summer, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the job at hand. We don't really go in for big advertisements or flashy slogans. We figure the work we do speaks for itself among the other businesses in Gidc. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the community well. The gate at the front of Plot No. G-1620 squeaks a bit when it's windy, which is quite often. We’ve thought about fixing it, but it’s sort of a signal that someone is coming. It’s just one of those little things about our daily life in Lodhika. We’re just a bunch of workers.
