You can find Patel Eng. Co. (S) Ltd. over in the Aji Udyogic Vasahat area, right off Bhavnagar Road in Rajkot. It is a very industrial part of town, so you are always hearing the sounds of heavy tools and workshops nearby. We have been here for a long time and our building shows its age a bit, but it works for what we do. We are mostly focused on engineering tasks and manufacturing parts. Our floors are usually stained with a bit of machine oil and there is always some project being put together in the back. It is a practical place where the work comes first. The staff here mostly consists of people who have been in the engineering trade for decades. We don't spend much time on fancy marketing or anything like that. Instead, we are busy measuring things and making sure the lathes are running properly. Being near the Bhavnagar Road means we get a lot of trucks passing by, which is good for moving our products out. It’s often dusty and the summer heat in Rajkot makes the workshop pretty warm. We take our breaks when we can and try to get the orders finished on time. It is a straightforward business where we rely on manual skill and experience. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for years and most of the neighbors know us by now.
