Vikas Engineering

We set up Vikas Engineering a while back on the Gondal Highway, just behind Hotel Krishna Park. If you know the Rajkot area, we're right at Survey No. 38/1, Plot No. 72. It’s a busy spot but we’ve got enough space for the machines and the day-to-day work we do. Mostly, it’s just us here working on metal parts and whatever engineering jobs come through the door. The traffic on NH-8b is always moving, so there's plenty of noise and dust, but we just get on with it. We started out small and stayed here because it makes sense for getting things shipped out. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a workshop with high ceilings and heavy tools. Sometimes the heat in Gujarat gets a bit much in the afternoon, so we take our breaks when we can. Most of the guys have been here for years and they know exactly how the lathes and drills should sound when they're running right. We don't spend a lot of time on the computer or making phone calls unless it's to order more materials or tell a customer their order is ready for pickup. People find us because they saw the sign on the road or someone told them we could fix a specific part. It’s straightforward work. We show up early, do the machining, and close the gates when the sun goes down.
