Western Caterers

You can find us at 16 Diwanpara, right across from the Vishwakarma Temple. Being near the temple gives the area a certain feel, and we’ve grown quite fond of this spot over the years. Western Caterers is a small operation, and we run things in a very traditional way. There are no big offices here, just our kitchen and a small space to handle the logistics. The morning starts with the temple bells and us getting the stoves lit. We handle everything ourselves, from picking out the ingredients at the market to the final packing. Diwanpara is an older part of the city, and the streets can be a bit narrow, but it’s home to us. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we’ve stayed right here. Our work is mostly about sweat and timing. We don't use a lot of technical gadgets; we rely on what we’ve learned over decades of doing this. It’s a simple life of service. We don't promise anything revolutionary, we just provide what we know how to make. The temple across the street is a constant landmark for us. People know that if they see the Vishwakarma Temple, they are just steps away from where we are working. It’s a steady pace of life, and we are happy to be a part of the local fabric here in this neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and get the cooking done.
