Lions Club Aavkar Rajkot

Lions Club Aavkar Rajkot operates out of room 205 in the Navkar Complex. This building is on Dhebar Road, right at the Oneway Parabazar Chowk. It’s a very central part of Rajkot, so things are always moving fast outside. The one-way street can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here, but it keeps the traffic flowing in one direction at least. Our space in the complex is where we get together to talk about what needs to be done. It’s not a fancy club house; it’s more like a regular office with some chairs and a big table. We have posters from past events and some files that have been sitting there for years. The windows look out toward the chowk, and you can see the tea sellers and the crowds all day. It gets a bit loud when the horns start honking in the afternoon. We usually have people coming in and out at odd hours depending on what projects are going on. The elevator in the building works most of the time, but we often just take the stairs up to the second floor. It’s a community-driven spot, so the atmosphere is pretty casual. We don’t worry too much about being polished. We just want to make sure the work gets handled. The Navkar Complex is an older building, but it’s a landmark for us and we’re used to the quirks of the place.
