Jay Chhaniyara

Jay Chhaniyara is located over at Aa-24 on the Nana Mauva Main Road. This part of Shashtrinagar is usually pretty lively. The shop is right on the main stretch, so we see a lot of people passing by on their way to work or errands. It’s a simple setup we have here. We don’t go in for anything too flashy. The walls are a plain color and we keep our supplies stacked where we can reach them easily. During the summer, it gets quite warm, so we keep the fans going all day. The neighbors nearby are mostly other small shops and families who have been in Shashtrinagar for a long time. We know the routine of the street pretty well by now. Usually, we start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There is always a bit of cleaning to do first. We get a lot of walk-ins because of the location on Nana Mauva Main Road. People often stop by just to ask a question or see what we are up to. It’s a friendly vibe, nothing like those big offices in the city center. We handle everything ourselves, from opening the shutters to locking up at night. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we are busy, but we eventually get through the pile of work. It’s just a regular life here at the shop, day in and day out, making sure everything is taken care of.
